Services

The Children's Advocate Office receives concerns regarding individual children or groups of children as well as concerns about services that children or youth receive, when it is believed that:

  • A child’s or youth’s interests are not being considered
  • A child’s or youth’s rights are being ignored
  • A child’s or youth’s viewpoint is not being heard
  • All relevant information about a child or youth may not have been considered when a decision was being made

The Children's Advocate Office is not a child protection service. If you believe a child is in need of protection you must contact your local social services or police service.

The following links provide information on who should call and what happens when they do.
